The parallel certificate will be identical with the underlying certificate, but the company name and part identification is changed.

Basically, parallel certificates have the same validity as the underlying certificates and will be listed on the 3P Homepage and updated at the same time as the underlying certificates are updated.

Products that can be parallel certified

All products having a full production line qualification can be parallel certified. Furthermore, links & channels having only a capability approval can also be parallel certified under special conditions to allow each supplier of applied components to have a certificate.

Certification

Both the producer and the company that has been granted a parallel qualification can cancel the parallel certification at any time, after which the parallel certificates in question are no longer valid. The company that had been granted a parallel qualification can not hereafter promote the formerly parallel-certified products as being qualified.

Parallel qualification will require full disclosure of test results of the products in question between the producer and the company that has been granted a parallel qualification. However, unless otherwise agreed, the full test report will not be available to the company that has been granted a parallel qualification due to details regarding the production facilities and organisation.

Certification Process

1) Both the producer having a full production line qualification and the company applying for a parallel qualification must agree to accept the terms and conditions for parallel certification.

2) When this agreement has been established, parallel certificates will be issued, and parallel certification fees will be invoiced to the company that has been granted the parallel qualification.
