Link & Channel

The below listed companies have been 3P certified as suppliers of high quality permanent links and channels. The table below gives a survey of all suppliers having a valid certification together with performance ratings of such certifications. Details of the granted certifications, including full identification of tested configuration, and manufacture and type of applied cable(s) and connecting hardware, can be found for each permanent link or channel in question. Furthermore, links to all issued and valid Attestations of Conformity are made available.

Capability approval is only considered valid for one year due to the growing risk of changes in performance with time. The link to the Attestation of Conformity will be removed from the survey after one year. The performance may stay high for a much longer period, but this cannot be demonstrated by 3P as no follow up investigations are part of the permanent link and channel certification programme. The user should always seek confirmation from the supplier that the performance of his permanent link or channel is still unchanged compared with the certified one, i.e. applies the same termination procedures, and types and performance of components. 3P certification of permanent link or channel will be removed from the 3P Homepage after three years.

A permanent link or channel will often contain cable(s) and connecting hardware from different manufacturers. The certified permanent links and channels are listed under each of the manufacturer names in question, but detailed company information is only given for the company identified on the issued Attestation of Conformity.

The performance rating of a permanent link or channel is identified by both Class (as for instance applied in 2nd edition ISO/IEC 11801 and CENELEC EN 50173-1:2007) and Category (as for instance applied in ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2 and ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1). The identification of Class D used in 2nd edition ISO/IEC 11801 and CENELEC EN 50173-1:2007 is here made by the shorter and less confusing name Class D+ applied by 3P.
